Rare! China issues simultaneous high temp & cold wave warnings

China has continued its series of extreme weather. China's national weather service has sent out its first-ever simultaneous warnings about high temperatures and cold waves. According to the forecast, the highest temperature in some parts of southern China on Monday, October 3, was over 40 °C (104 °F). In contrast, in most of the central and eastern parts of the country, the temperature dropped down. In some places, it went down by more than 18 °C or over 32 °F.
